David Wills, elated to have married the beautiful and talented Julie Carter and to be a legal citizen. David came from London to Mill Valley, California and decided he wanted to stay. Julie later moved to London and became a flutist with the London Symphony Orchestra. David connected her with his friend Felix Dennis, one of the editors of Oz Magazine where David once worked (and one of the richest men in Britain at the time), with whom she lived for a period of time.

Decades later, David and his girlfriend Tamala met up with Tagore, and Tamala asked Tagore, “Did it bother you that David married your girlfriend?" Tagore replied, "Well, I didn't like it". Tagore went on to say that his wife (who David has never met) does not like David because she blames him for teaching Tagore how to be a philanderer when Tagore was a young man. David was a little older at 32 and Tagore was about 18 when David moved to Druid Heights. Tagore said he looked up to David, and admired his confidence, and told a story about how one day when he expressed to David that he was upset because he didn't get the girl he wanted, David replied slyly and slowly with his big mischievous grin and eyes, "Don't let that bother you. There's a world full of girls out there."
